Here you will find outrageous prints that I created using Polaroid’s Time Zero film with their SX 70 camera. Although both camera and film have been discontinued for quit some time the artwork created with this process will live for a very long time. The process involves physically moving the emulsion as the film is processing with the use of small wooden tools. The dye layers of the film are thick and soft like bread dough and can be pushed and pulled to distort the rendering image. On many of the images, if printed large enough you can see the dyes as ribbons that overlap each other. You can also see mountain ridges created by the doughy emulsion and the rivers of dye running through them. My Resin Artwork is very unique and many people ask me if it was fired like glass or enamel. Photographs do them little justice because they do not reveal the true depth or gloss of the artwork. The original resin is crystal clear and I grind dry artist pigments into the resin and use it as my medium. This is the exact way oil, acrylic, watercolors, etc are made they just used different binders. Blending my own pigments allows me to create very bright and saturated colors. The resin properties allow the artwork to dry with a super glossy look that has no top coating to wear off like other coated artwork. My Resin images are truly one of a kind pieces and are almost impossible to recreate. Occasionally I am asked to recreate a piece and have, not exactly but I can achieve the style and feeling of most pieces.
